Fall 2011 Trend Report: Numero Uno

Skimming through the pages in various magazines, catching the eye of style gurus on the subway, stopping to idly stare at illuminated shopping windows…all part of our job in the fashion industry. Although it seems that we simply recycle looks, adding a extra few modern touches, we are really revolutionizing fashion daily. Anything and everything you put on your back is a statement, whether you want it to be or not. A statement about who you are, where you come from, what’s important to you…What are you telling the world?

Style #1: 70s Swank

GQ magazine recently featured actor, and Jennifer Anniston’s beau, Justin Theroux in an array of vintage inspired trends. It’s a new, gritty spin on a seemingly over-worked genre of clothing:

Style Trend #2: Khaki Winter Work Pants
Obviously this trend looks great with the previous post about “The Way of the Rustic Boot.” See we know what were doing here. GQ features another easy, wearable, ultra-masculine look: the rustic khaki pant. Pair it up with some rugged boots.

This bag is from Duluth Trading Company, which sells excellent quality products. We recently purchased a knapsack from them and not only is it incredibly sleek, beautiful leather, but durable and well made. We like to think of this brand as a little best kept search in fashion, because the prices aren’t nearly what they could be for these products. Anyways, here’s one of their ultra-cool bags:

The Way of The Rustic Boot

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

You are what you wear. Or at least what you put on your feet. Not long ago, an individuals’ livelihood was directly dependent upon keeping their body safe from nature’s harsh elements. A good pair of shoes to ‘weather the storm’ was a necessity for survival and unsurprisingly, it still is. This season the  rustic, rugged, yet modernized hiking boot is back. Here are a few examples of the hottest trends for your toes this season:

1. Otadan boot from Aldo shoe stores. Actually, they have an entire line of casual boots that pair wonderfully with jeans, dress slacks, and even hiking gear. They won’t positively break the bank either, starting at around $150.

Pair this suave, rugged boot with a symbolic adornment from nature. You can take the great outdoors with you to that business meeting or unwanted weekend shopping trip with the wife. If you can’t have a fishing pole, a six pack, and a bon fire on a fall evening, you might as well take the woods with you:

2. Next up we have possibly the best boots made in America: LL. Bean ‘s Beanboot with Thinsulate. The great thing about this type of boot is not only is it completely functional and stylish, but it is also hand-made in Maine. The can take a heavy mud beating, get rained on, and scrapped by unforgiving pavement, but they still protect your feet. You can also get them insulated with sheep’s fur for a slightly higher price. The BEST part is…wait for it…if at any time, with or without a receipt, you wish to exchange your boot for another pair, you can! No extra cost, no hassle, just simple quick exchange. And no, we do not work for LL bean….

Isn’t hunting season coming up? Pair these ultra hip boots with a pair of hand-painted cufflinks from the famous Pierce and Hobbs:

3. Last we have the classic Timberland boot with a twist. Not too street, yet not too rustic, this Timberland boot is a great spin on a classic look. The brown coloring will look great with just about any of this season’s sweater colors: grey, mustard, navy blue, and hunter green.

Hunting season is right around the corner

Monday, September 5th, 2011

Since fall is on the horizon that means that hunting season is right around the corner. Hunters always look forward to fall because it gives them the opportunity to get out in the woods and hunt for different kinds of game. For some guys, hunting is just as enjoyable as going to a football game. For others … not so much. If you’re a hunter, then you’re probably an outdoorsy kind of guy who likes getting his hands dirty. You probably aren’t up-to-date on the latest cufflink fashions and designs, either. This also means that you probably aren’t aware that there are novelty cufflinks for guys just like you. We have a selection of Hunting and Fishing Cufflinks that are perfect for any hunter or fisherman. Just because you enjoy casting a fishing line in the middle of a muddy river or hiking through the woods in camouflage doesn’t mean that you can’t ditch the fishing pole or shotgun and exchange them for a pair of cufflinks every once and a while.

Even hunters get invited to formal affairs, so you’ll need a pair of cufflinks to go with your outfit. Lucky for you, we have plenty of fun and fashionable Hunting and Fishing Cufflinks to choose from. The next time you have to get dressed up, snap on a pair of Deer Crossing Cufflinks. Then you can dream about catching a prize-winning deer no matter what boring formal event you are forced to attend. Just make sure to leave your shotgun at home.

Be the king of style

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

Some guys have it and some guys don’t. What are we talking about here? A sense of style, of course! Some men have an innate sense of style, and they know what to wear and how to wear it. You can always tell who has “it” and who doesn’t, because guys with a keen sense of style always look good — no matter what they wear. Then there are the other guys … the ones that can’t seem to get themselves together. They end up matching the wrong color tie to their button-down shirt, wearing the wrong shoes, and failing to accessorize with elegant watches or cufflinks. If you’re the type of guy who has trouble getting dress for any occasion, don’t worry. We are here to help! In order to transform your wardrobe, you always have to start with the basics.

The basics include accessories, such as these Sterling Roaring Lion Cufflinks. Made by CLM New York, the smooth black enamel face and sophisticated design will provide you with the confidence to “roar” into any room, feeling like the “king” of style. Paired with a class white button-down shirt, a black tie and shiny pair of black shoes, you’ll be the best-dressed guy in the place. Sometimes, it just takes a simple accessory to get you started on the right path. That’s why an elegant pair of cufflinks can make all the difference when it comes to style. You can build a whole new look around the right pair of cufflinks.

Eco-friendly cufflinks for the eco-friendly guy

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

We are living in a tumultuous time when caring for the earth isn’t just a fun thing to do anymore. It has become a responsible thing to do, because we are at risk of ruining our beautiful planet. Thanks to climate change, pollution, famine and an increase in natural disasters, we are being forced to change our old destructive habits so that we can live in harmony with the earth instead. There are many ways to change your habits, such as recycling, walking or riding a bicycle more, and driving eco-friendly cars. You can even make a positive impact by wearing eco-friendly cufflinks! AYMARA is an eco-friendly cufflink designer that only uses materials found in nature to make their designs.

The butterfly wings are used to create inspiring cufflinks, such as these AYMARA Square Blue Dawn Cufflinks. In addition to helping preserve the environment, whenever you purchase a pair of AYMARA cufflinks a percentage of the sale goes to support the butterfly garden and its animal orphanage. Cufflinksman.com is also doing its parting, donating a sizable percentage of ALL SALES to the butterfly garden and the animal orphanage. Will you do your part today?
