There comes a time in every man’s life where he succumbs to the anti-rock star lifestyle and chooses a more…conventional way of life. Don’t fear former rebels, we’ve got the miniature emblems of fashion to remind you of your former rock star self and possibly help get some groove back in your step.

Get more love. Wear a Stamp Cufflink to remind you of the ultimate joy of life: he Mummy Stamp CufflinksThe Mummy Stamp Cufflinks

Every man wants to know about sex: how can I get it, how can I get more of it, and how can I keep getting it? Our answer is simple: Style. Every woman loves a confident, stylish man (assuming you’re not prettier than she is).

Start with an ultra sleek Champagne tie from CLM:

Next, have the right BAG. This guy is from Prada and a little expensive, (well actually “a lot a expensive”), but can be swapped out for something much cheaper. We just wanted to show you an example of a bag you should keep your eye out for because it screams style:

Pair this briefcase with something just as elegant, but won’t break the bank. At only $25, this Classic Black and White Silk Knot Cufflink Trio Set is well worth it, especially for all those holiday parties you’ll be attending:

As for the drugs, you may want to stick to the legal ones, like a stiff Martini and cigar.

The ladies may not dig the cigar, but it’ll be perfect for a night out with the boys, sitting back enjoying your hard earned peace and quiet.

And then there’s ROCK AND ROLL. The statement wouldn’t be complete with it.First, let’s give a toast to the King of Rock and Roll. May he rest in peace. Thanks for all the tunes and for opening the doors of rock for all of us:TEXAS HERITAGE STATEHOOD STAMP CUFFLINKS

And as controversial as it was when Bob Dylan switched to the electric guitar, music wouldn’t be the same without it. Here’s our material homage to the beauty of the electric sound machine.

Without Cupid, dirty Martinis, and Elvis, Sex Drugs and Rock & Roll wouldn’t be possible. Respect! More to come.

Ways to Keep Warm: Style Report

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

1. Beards

Number one way to keep warm? A little facial hair action! The trick is to keep it trimmed and relatively “neat,” which will assure you can get away with it at work. Facial hair adds character to a man’s face and diminishes that “boy next door” look. And regardless of the fact that it bothers your lady friend’s face (or…), trust us, she loves it too. It’s like cave man meets GQ style. Take these celebrity men for example:

Don’t be caught on the mountain range with protecting your neck, literally. These wool scarves come straight from Italy and are the designer Daniel Dolce’s answer to a cold chilling wind.

2. Mouton Collar Jackets

Fur is fur is fur is….always a hot topic. Regardless of those extremists at PETA, a classic mutton collar is a great essential to keep you warm in the winter. It’s not that it just looks good, but it’s main purpose it to maintain body temperature. Don’t believe us? GQ recently featured a line of ultra-hot mutton collar jackets, like this one from Ralph Lauren:

3. Top Coats

Ah, the dapper man strikes again! Nothing like a classic top coat to go over your suit, sweater, or even tee shirt. It will transform any simple outfit into an elegant look. Want to grocery shop in your pjs? Throw on your top coat and you’ll be good to go…a closet must-have.

Going hiking in Canada? You’ll need the extra warmth up there, especially visiting Niagra Falls. Before you make your trip to the North Country, get a hand-painted, rustic pair of Canadian Coin Cufflinks:

4. Sherpa-Lined Denim Jackets

Sherpa is ultra-cozy and ultra warm. Anything lined in it is liking living inside a pillow. Not really, but  sherpa lined boots, socks, and especially jackets are unbelievably snug (and affordable). It looks good, feels good, and you’ll want to rub your hands against it all day. Or…not. It’s just goodness in a jacket:

Skimming through the pages in various magazines, catching the eye of style gurus on the subway, stopping to idly stare at illuminated shopping windows…all part of our job in the fashion industry. Although it seems that we simply recycle looks, adding a extra few modern touches, we are really revolutionizing fashion daily. Anything and everything you put on your back is a statement, whether you want it to be or not. A statement about who you are, where you come from, what’s important to you…What are you telling the world?

Style #1: 70s Swank

GQ magazine recently featured actor, and Jennifer Anniston’s beau, Justin Theroux in an array of vintage inspired trends. It’s a new, gritty spin on a seemingly over-worked genre of clothing:

Style Trend #2: Khaki Winter Work Pants
Obviously this trend looks great with the previous post about “The Way of the Rustic Boot.” See we know what were doing here. GQ features another easy, wearable, ultra-masculine look: the rustic khaki pant. Pair it up with some rugged boots.

This bag is from Duluth Trading Company, which sells excellent quality products. We recently purchased a knapsack from them and not only is it incredibly sleek, beautiful leather, but durable and well made. We like to think of this brand as a little best kept search in fashion, because the prices aren’t nearly what they could be for these products. Anyways, here’s one of their ultra-cool bags:

Steve Jobs and Cufflinks

Steve Jobs…need we say more? Actually we will. Jobs has literally changed the way we view and experience the world. This is no easy feat, in case you’re trying to do it yourself, I’m sure you already know. In the late 1970s, Jobs help design and develop one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple Series. Think Jobs’ life didn’t effect you that much? Read on.

Steve Jobs, Founder of Apple

”Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” (Jobs’ voiceover from an unaired Apple commercial featuring Virgin’s Richard Branson)

Just imagine your life right now, without ever owning an Ipod, or a MacBook, or even without ever digitizing your music? We’d still be slinging our DiskMan’s around the street, toting our scratched up CDs, and making mix tapes for our significant others. For you younger one’s, a Diskman is simply a portable CD player. Remember those? (If not, DY a favor and click the words “CD Player”) Now we can transfer music to each other through the internet, press a button and open up thousands of songs, which we can listen to in privacy, in public, anywhere (except on the initial ascent on the airplane…) Most of us even learn the most vital news on our Apple devices. Even Jobs’ death itself, most of the industrialized world learned of it through and on an Apple device. Amazing.

“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me…Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful–that’s what matters.” CNN, May 25, 1993

The above quote really makes one think–are YOU going to bed thinking you’ve done something wonderful? If not, change it. We can. Jobs’ resignation from Apple was a global shock and the interesting thing is, he did it right before his death. That means he was working, doing what he loved, right up to the last minute of his professional existence. And to bow out gracefully while the company is at an all-time high…that is, to put it mildly, reverent class.

“A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.”

My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.
